Capitol Area Technology is based in Texas, a leading distributor of semiconductor manufacturing equipment spare parts. The business has a strong presence in offline and online stores such as eBay site, and Capitol Area Technology, offering its customers over 500,000 products.

To ensure the highest quality of products, the organization collaborates with the best brands in the semiconductor industry, helping them gain a strategic edge. To carry out that, the client wants to relaunch a website with a completely fresh storefront design & high-end performance while loading website pages to provide a fantastic e-commerce experience to end customers.

Expectation from Clients

We have been working with Capital Area as a client for a couple of years so at the initial meeting for relaunch, the client stated clear expectations of having faster website loading time at the center and customer journey based on the buying psychology of wholesale customers from the semiconductor industry.

They wanted to reduce overall product navigation and checkout process time considering previously identified buying patterns. This is crucial to our goal. It is anticipated that the newly updated website will improve the user experience

What was the Process?

How do we serve the user better? Every great eCommerce journey begins with this question. That was heartbeat of our mission when our client approached us for a complete overhaul of their Magento store. To start with we stepped into shoes of their customers. We analyzed competitor websites, digging deep into Google Analytics data and collected real user feedback. This wasn’t just research but it was a blueprint for transformation.

We uncovered patterns, their frustrations and untapped opportunities. All of which helped shape a cutting-edge redesign strategy focused on real world buying behavior. Once a strategy was in place, our magento development team brought ideas to life. We carefully redesigned key pages of site and presented its first drafts.

The client’s response? Immediate approval and genuine excitement especially about one key element and that is enhanced search functionality. Since over 90% of shoppers rely on search to discover a right products, we made it a centerpiece of user journey. Our design phase powered by Figma that blended form and function with modern aesthetics and intuitive UX.

With foundation laid, it was time to build. After reviewing project’s scope and goals, we chose Hyvä theme as backbone of site’s frontend. Known for its superfast speed and clean architecture, Hyvä was a perfect fit to deliver a lightning fast experience.

Our goal? A Google PageSpeed score above 90 and we were determined to achieve it. The development phase included careful upgrades of several third-party Hyvä-compatible extensions and many of which required custom tweaks. Fortunately we collaborated closely with Hyvä product team to ensure seamless integration.

Behind the scenes, we fine tuned existing integrations like Ebay, ShipStation, Quicklook and more. We ensured they aligned perfectly with new flow. Each module was reviewed, updated or patched where needed to keep an engine running smoothly and efficiently.

From vision to execution, this project was a fusion of data-driven strategy, technical finesse and creative storytelling that designed to elevate every click, every search, and every sale.

 

The Result

Finally, the Website went live in November & We were all excited to launch our first Hyva theme-based Magento website. Improvement got attention immediately & b2b leads flow increased up to 35%. Website conversion improved by up to 28% after the website launch.
